Sidddhilakxmi, Nepal THE DASHA MAHABIDHAYAS Shaktism is worship of female dignity. Like Astamatrikas & Navadurga in Shaktism , Mahabidhya is also important part of Shaktism. They are also called as Dasha Mahabidhyas because this group have ten powerful goddess. This group is worship as part of Mahashakti or Paramshakti because Parvati is consider as complete incarnation of Mahashakti . And Parvati or Satya Devi is ponder as origin point of Mahabidhya. This group of goddess played very important role to develop tantrik sect in Shaktism. According to one shloka of Mundamala tantra ( मुण्डमालातन्त्रे) these dasa mahabidhyas are part of lord Vishnu. This text refer all Dasaavatar of Vishnu as Dashamahabidhya. Maishashur mardini  Dashain is considered as the major festival of Nepal. Various deities are worshiped in the Shakta sect. This festival is celebrated by worshiping various goddesses for nine consecutive days from the day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Ashwin to the tenth day. Dashain is celebrated by worshiping Shaili Putri, Bramhacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Mahagauri, Siddhidatri and Navdurga. We have different gods in Hinduism. Numerous gods are worship and uncountable temples are around the world with millions of followers. But why do we actually worship them? The answers are easy, to be happy or to get anything we want. But how did this idea came up? How first person to worship god did came to know about this facts that by worshipping god we can be happy? Among them ASHTAMATRIKAS are popular and powerful goddess worship in Indian sub-continent. These matrikas are worship alone as well as in group. The concept of Asthamatrika was emerge from SAPTSMSTRIKAS. After adding one mother goddess to Saptamatrika, Asthamatrika is formed.
